This set of photos was done working with model and friend Javicia for her blog website. She came to me and told me about how she was putting together a fashion blog and wanted to show off a few of her outfits. The shots were taken on site in the streets of Beverly Hills and some in West Hollywood at the Design Center.
This section of photos was done during a photographer street meet up in downtown Los Angles. This was the first time I ever participated in something like this and I will not be the last. The meet up was hosted by a few fellas who go by "WeOwnTheNight_LA" on instagram. I just happened to stumble upon their page a couple days before the meet up and decided to go. I had no idea what I was getting myself into but it was was of the best things I've taken part of for my photography. They turned me on to a technique with long exposures and used steel wool to create the sparks you see in the photos. Some people came dressed up with masks and even a girl with face paint. We headed down a bunch of random dark alleys and then ended up down in the LA River. Needless to say the experience was great and I'm already ready for the next meet up. Big shout out to the guys over at WeOwnTheNight_LA.
The shots in this set were taken on location at the Santa Monica Pier. Again working with model Javicia we decided just go have fun and do a swimsuit shoot on a sunny Cali day.
The photos in this set were all taken in Downtown Los Angeles on a few different occasions working with a few different people. All photos were taken down in the LA River on the train tracks and under the bridge.
This set of photos comes courtesy of some behind the scenes shots I took during a video shoot down in Compton. The video was for NiqqiWorldWide for her song "Middle Finger". I had actually met Niqqi the morning of the video shoot and she convinced me to go with her to Compton to take pictures at her video shoot. After being there for about an hour the streets started filling up with a few low rider cars and a bunch of motorcycles. Overall there was a good turnout of people and a really dope shoot location.
This set of photos are shots done with my go to model Javicia. This started off as a different shoot with a few ideas in mind and ended up being a shoot and go on the fly.
The shots in this set were taken on location in the hills of Malibu at the state park. Working with Javicia she had mentioned a spot in Malibu with a water hole in the hills that would be a good spot to get shots. After getting lost then finally finding the spot and walking into the mountains for about 20 minutes we found the spot. Plenty of people and plenty of yellow jackets. Needless to say after taking shots and jumping off the rocks into the water once we were not there very long.
Took these photos out in LA Live for the Ball Up event. Ball Up was formally And 1. I have been a huge fan of the And 1 tour since back in the early 2000's when it started. When I found out a friend worked for the company and had extra tickets I was pretty excited to go. They still had a couple players from back in the day like AO and Sickwitit. A few celebrities even came through and they had guest coaches Gilbert Arenas and James Harden.
